Isolated Strong Storms Possible We Fest Saturday

Ingredients for strong and severe storms look to set in place on Saturday with early warning signs of large hail, damaging wind gusts, and even a couple of isolated tornadoes possible. There is a chance that we won’t see much for storms on Saturday afternoon. A cap looks to be setting up and it alone may prevent storms from forming. It is a little early to tell for sure right now how strong that cap will be but the latest model guidance has been limiting storm initiation over our area. If the ‘storms’ can break the cap or if the cap isn’t as strong as model indications point to currently (Thursday 8/1/24). Storms would likely quickly develop and intensify. I suspect this threat area may shift further to the south and southeast which would be ideal for those attending We Fest at Soo Pass Ranch near Detroit Lakes, MN.

Look for additional updates to come!
