A good chance for some heavy rain across much of the area with a chance for some strong/severe storms too. Here’s a look at what the SPC (Storm prediction center) is thinking for our area on Monday:
The F/M area is in a marginal risk while parts of lakes country is in a slight to enhanced risk. As a cold front approaches from the west around lunchtime, storms will erupt along the cold front as it moves east. Main severe threat is going to be hail east of the Valley. Along with the threat of some severe storms, heavy rain is a good bet across much of the area with many spots picking up over 1″ of rainfall:
As the storms diminish by early afternoon, winds will increase out of the north up to 40mph with falling afternoon temps.
