First Frost Advisory Ever Issued In August

It’s too early to be talking about frost, isn’t it? The National Weather Service of Bismarck North Dakota, has issued their first frost advisory ever for August. Advisories were missed for portions of southwestern North Dakota Friday morning as overnight lows Friday morning were expected to drop into the 30s. The coldest temperature recorded was 32 degrees 8 miles south of Alkabo via a NDAWN site.

The total number of Frost Advisories issued from the NWS Bismarck since 2005 are 2 in April, 52 in May, 7 in June, 0 in July, 1(current) in August, 51 in September, and 6 in October.
