We really haven’t had much of a winter in regards to snow. In fact, we are 11″ below normal for snowfall. We could REALLY use some snowfall for our winter weather enthusiasts AND the fact that we are in a moderate drought. I don’t foresee the drought conditions lasting into spring, however.
Now, let’s focus on the light snow event moving into the area on Thursday. There will be a weak front moving into the area with some light snow. Now the morning commute shouldn’t be effected but the evening commute could be a bit slippery. Here’s a look at 3 different models and their snow predictions:

What we look for is consistency in the models and most are painting around 1-2″ for the F/M area which seems reasonable. I’m leaning more toward 1″ with some wind causing some blowing snow for the evening commute. There will likely be another system coming in over the weekend with additional light snow.
