BLOWING SNOW (BS) nobody likes it but it’s heading our way for Wednesday. As a strong area of low pressure moves through Southern Canada and an area of high pressure builds behind it, it is going to provide STRONG winds on Wed. late morning through early afternoon:
The pressure difference between the strong high and strong low pressure leads to strong winds across much of the N. Plains. I’ve highlighted where the STRONGEST WINDS will be (35 to 50mph) The solid black lines are lines of equal pressure and the closer they are packed together, the stronger the winds are. Expect quite a bit of blowing snow and reduced visibilities tomorrow afternoon across all of our area!!
The worst conditions are expected to occur between 10am and 4pm. Please be advised of rapidly deteriorating road conditions Wednesday due to blowing snow. There will be some falling snow along with the push of arctic air as temps fall into the single digits by evening.
