If you looked outside during the afternoon on Tuesday, 5/14/24, you may have seen what looked like ash falling in and around the Fargo Nd area. Your eyes were not mistaken it was indeed ash falling in spots, nothing crazy or significant but noticeable ash was falling from the sky. You may quickly assume that this is from the wildfires in Canada but that is unlikely. The more likely situation is a planned burn coming from around the Manston Wildlife Area in Wilkin County MN, west of Rothsay MN. Light southeast winds from the SE on Tuesday would track smoke plumes and ash would track into the Fargo/Moorhead area.
