Widespread rain and possible severe weather?

SPRING IS FINALLY HERE!!!  Temps the rest of this week will be in the 70s with numerous chances for rain.   This is one of the “stormy” parts of the LRC cycle and will bring us an additional 1-2.5″ of rainfall.   Looks like widespread rainfall across the entire state into MN.  Keep in mind, according to the LRC, this same pattern will be back in approx. 50 days and by that time, the chance of severe weather will be greater.  However, as this system pushes into the Plains, there is a chance for severe weather in the Dakotas into Minnesota on Thursday.  The greatest chance will be to the south of the F/M area but it’s still worth watching in case the area of low pressure shifts a bit farther north.   Mother’s Day weekend looks a bit wet on Saturday but improving on Mother’s Day!!!  Next week we go into the “drier” part of the LRC cycle.
