32″ of snow in Fargo??

That should grab your attention!!  Yes, in fact one of our computer models is forecasting over 2 ft. of snow this weekend as a storm system rides in off the Pacific.  Now, will this happen?  90% chance absolutely NOT!!  However, it gives you an idea of what we wrestle with when it comes to forecasting snow amounts.  Here is a look at some other models forecasts with the upcoming storm:

A wide variety of snowfall throughout the area with most generating less than 1″ in the F/M area.   This is the same system in the LRC cycle in November that brought us a few inches of snow.   I will be fine tuning the forecast as we head into the weekend, but look for some much needed moisture (rain) on Friday changing to snow Friday night into Saturday.
