Wolves survive double OT in Denver thanks to Alexander-Walker’s last second free throws

The Minnesota Timberwolves snuck by the Denver Nuggets 140-139 in double overtime. Nickeil Alexander-Walker was fouled on a game-winning three attempt with less than a second left and made two of his three free throws.

Anthony Edwards led the Wolves with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists. Julius Randle and Alexander-Walker added 26 points apiece. RudyGobert chipped in 19 points and 12 rebounds.

Minnesota rose to 44-32 on the season. The Pack currently sits tied with Memphis in the standings, but the Grizzlies own the tiebreaker, so the Wolves are in seventh place in the Western Conference with six games remaining in the regular season.

They will now visit the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday evening.
