Wild fall to Devils in shootout; pick up crucial point in standings

(Newark, NJ) — The Minnesota Wild picked up a point with a third-period rally during a 3-2 shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils at Prudential Center.

Matt Boldy scored the game-tying goal with just over two minutes left in regulation before the Wild went oh-for-two in the shootout. Vinnie Hinostroza also lit the lamp in the losing effort.

Minnesota is in fourth place in the Central Division with 88 points and  a record of 41-28-6 on the season. The Wild currently lead the St. Louis Blues by one point for the Western Conference’s top Wild Card spot. Minnesota will now visit the New York Rangers on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
