The Minnesota Wild were crushed by the Florida Panthers 6-1 at the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday night.
Marco Rossi scored Minnesota’s only goal. The Wild gave up five unanswered goals after Rossi tied the game a goal apiece in the first period. Marc-Andre Fleury saved 27 of the 33 shots he faced.
In the closing moments of the game, Defenseman, Brock Faber, took a shot puck off the neck. He collapsed to the ice they got up skated off and ran down the tunnel. The severity of the injury is currently unknown, but the team should give an update in the injury in the near future.
Minnesota fell to 20-8-4 on the season. The Wild will now host the Utah Hockey Club on Friday evening with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m.
