The Minnesota Vikings fell short to the Detroit Lions 31-29 on Sunday afternoon.
Detroit’s Jake Bates connected on a 44-yard field goal with 15 seconds remaining in the game to give the Lions their final lead.
Aaron Jones had 14 carries for 93 yards and one touchdown. Justin Jefferson caught seven passes for 81 yards and one touchdown. Ivan Pace Jr. led the defense with 13 tackles and a 36-yard fumble recovery return for a touchdown.
The Vikings and Lions are now both 5-1. Minnesota will visit the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night.
