Twins walked-off again, Guardians clinch AL Central

The Minnesota Twins were walked-off by the Cleveland Guardians again, this time it was 3-2 in 10 innings on Thursday afternoon

The Guardians clinched the American League Central title with the win.

Manuel Margot was the only Twin to drive in a run. Simeon Woods Richardson struck out six batters over 4 ⅔ innings while only giving up one run in a no decision. Cole Irvin gave up one run in 1 ⅔ innings out of the bullpen. Cole Sands tossed ⅔ of a scoreless inning. Louie Varland and Griffin Jax each tossed a shutout inning. Caleb Thielbar recorded one out in the 10th before giving up the walk-off hit.

The Twins are now off to Boston to square off with the Red Sox in a weekend series. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. this evening. David Festa will get the nod for Minnesota while Richard Fitts counters for Boston.

The Twins are now tied with the Tigers for the third and final American League Wild Card spot.
