Twins sign SP Ynoa

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are bringing back former prospect and starting pitcher Huascar Ynoa to a minor league contract.

The deal includes an invite to Spring Training in a few months. Ynoa began his career in the Twins organization, but he was traded to the Braves for Jaime Garcia in 2017. After a strong 2021 season with the Braves, Ynoa dealt with a variety of injuries.

He hasn’t pitched in the MLB since 2022, and he was 1-4 with a 6.37 ERA in 29 2/3 innings in the minors last season.
