(Chicago, IL) — The Minnesota Twins are 0-and-4 for just the third time this millennium and the first time since 2016 following a 9-0 loss to the Chicago White Sox at Rate Field on Monday afternoon.
The Twins gave up all nine runs in the first three innings of play before pulling both Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa from the contest. Minnesota didn’t pick up its first hit until a Willi Castro single in the seventh. Minnesota only recorded two hits in the game. Chris Paddack was charged with the loss after allowing nine runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings.
The Twins and Sox will continue their series on Tuesday night with first pitch scheduled for 6:40 p.m. Simeon Woods-Richardson will get the nod for Minnesota while Shane Smith is scheduled to counter for Chicago.
