The Minnesota Twins offense exploded for five runs in the 5th inning of their 8-3 victory over the Chicago White Sox.
Minnesota’s Simeon Woods-Richardson tossed four innings, giving up two runs on five hits with five strikeouts in a no-decision. Louie Varland would toss one inning giving up a solo home run while striking out two batters, earning the win. Cole Sands, Jorge Alcala, and Griffin Jax each tossed a shutout inning, earning their first holds of the season. Danny Coulombe threw a shutout ninth inning to close the door on the Twins’ first win of the 2025 campaign.
Minnesota scored five runs in the fifth inning, with Jose Miranda driving in a pair of runs while Ryan Jeffers, Ty France, and Edouard Julien all drove in a run apiece in the inning. Harrison Bader added the insurance runs on a ninth inning three-run homer.

The Twins and Whits Sox will have their series rubber match on Wednesday afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 1:10 p.m. Pablo Lopez is slated to be on the bump for the Twins while Sean Burke will counter for Chicago.
