Twins fall to Royals, Baldelli ejected for the first time this season

(Kansas City, MO) — The Minnesota Twins continued their slow start to the season with a 4-2 loss to the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

The Twins gave up an RBI single to Kyle Isbel in the bottom of the second and trailed the rest of the way. Harrison Bader and Willi Castro each drove in a run during the losing effort, while Simeon Woods Richardson was charged with the loss after surrendering four runs on eight hits in five 2/3 innings.

Twins Manager Rocci Baldelli was ejected in the sixth inning for arguing a Woods Richarson pitch clock violation.

The Twins and Royals will continue their series on Tuesday beginning at 6:40 p.m. Pablo Lopez is scheduled to get the start for Minnesota while Cole Ragans counters for Kansas City.
