Twins defeated by Pirates in Spring Training play

(Bradenton, FL) — The Minnesota Twins surrendered four runs in the bottom of the seventh during a 5-1 Spring Training loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates at LECOM Park.

The game was tied at one before Travis Adams gave up all four runs on five hits. Adams was charged with his first loss in relief, while DaShawn Keirsey Jr. drove in Minnesota’s only run. David Festa tossed two scoreless innings in a no-decision. The Twins are 1-1 in exhibition play.

Chris Paddack starts for Minnesota against Tampa Bay on Monday afternoon.
