Twins defeat Mets; Correa & Wallner exit early with injuries

The Minnesota Twins took down the New York Mets 6-3 on Tuesday night.

Bailey Ober had a quality start tossing 6 ⅓ innings, giving up three runs while striking out five batters and earning his first win of the 2025 season. Cole Sands had a scoreless outing over ⅔ of an inning, followed up by a clean one inning hold from Griffin Jax. Jhoan Duran would pick up his first save of the season after tossing a scoreless ninth inning.

Five Twins drove in a run, led by Brooks Lee’s first home run of the season. Edouard Julien, Ty France, Carlos Correa, and Harrison Bader all added an RBI apiece.

Correa exited the game early after injuring his wrist while swinging at a live pitch. Additionally, Matt Wallner was pulled from the game with left hamstring tightness.

The Twins and Mets will wrap up their series on Wednesday afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 12:10 p.m. David Festa will get the nod for Minnesota while Griffin Canning is set to counter for New York.
