(Fort Myers, MN) — Pablo Lopez struggled in his first Spring Training start during a 12-1 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates at Lee Health Sports Complex.
Lopez was charged with the loss after surrendering three runs on four hits in just two innings of work. Matt Wallner drove in Minnesota’s only run during the losing effort. The Twins dropped to 3-2 in exhibition play.
Zebby Matthews starts for the Twins against the Orioles on Friday.
