Ninth inning collapse costs Twins in loss to Phillies

A 9th inning collapse cost the Minnesota Twins in a 3-0 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday night.

Minnesota only recorded three hits in the loss, they also loaded the bases in the eighth inning but came up empty. Jhoan Duran gave up all three runs and was tagged with his fifth loss of the season.

West Fargo native Matt Strahm closed the door in the 9th, striking out two batters and picking up the save for Philadelphia.

The Twins and Phillies will conclude their series on Wednesday afternoon with their series rubber match and first pitch set for 12:10 p.m.
