NDSU’s Kopp, Steindorf earn MVFC weekly honors

On Monday, the Missouri Valley Football Conference’s office announced a pair of Bison were given weekly conference honors for their performances in NDSU’s thrilling 13-9 win over then No 1 South Dakota State in the annual Dakota Marker game.

Jr. linebacker, Logan Kopp was named the MVFC Defensive Player of the Week. He totaled six tackles against the Jackrabbits, including sealing the win with an interception in the final minute of the game. This was Kopp’s seventh career interception.

Sr. punter, Kaedin Steindorf, earned the MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week. He averaged 43.8 yards per punt on five punts. His two longest punts of the day were both 47 yards and he pinned SDSU inside the five at the four-yard-line. Steindorf limited the Jackrabbits to zero return yards in the punt game.

No. 1 North Dakota State (7-1, 4-0 MVFC) will visit Murray State (1-6, 0-4 MVFC) on Saturday, October 26.
