(Augusta, GA) — Rory McIlroy is the winner of the 2025 Masters. McIlroy defeated Justin Rose on the first playoff hole to capture the title, making him just the sixth golfer to complete the career Grand Slam in the Masters era.

It wasn’t easy for McIlroy, who entered the day with a two-shot lead, but missed a par put on the 18th hole that sent things to the playoff. The win ends an 11-year major championship drought for the second ranked golfer in the world. He took home $4.2 million in the win.
Patrick Reed finished in third at nine under par while Scottie Scheffler took fourth at eight under par.
Tom Hoge ended tied for 14th at three under par. He ended up with $336,000 in prize money.
The Tour will now head to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for the RBC Heritage beginning on Thursday.
