Mark Olsonawski named Shanley Deacons Boys’ Hockey Coach

FARGO, N.D. – Shanley High School announces Mark Olsonawski as the new Head Boys’ Hockey Coach for the Deacons.

Saint John Paul II Catholic Schools says he has a wealth of knowledge, experience and proven success including being a two-sport athlete at University of Minnesota Crookston.

“Coach Olsonawski will be instrumental in establishing a solid foundation for the newly formed hockey co-op with Shanley’s partners Oak Grove Lutheran High School, Park Christian School, and Capstone Classical Academy, beginning in the 2025–26 season. He will collaborate with St. John Paul II Catholic Schools Athletic Director Mark Hollcraft to complete the coaching staff in preparation for the upcoming season,” the district said in a statement.
