Lynx rest stars, fall to Sparks in regular season finale

The Minnesota Lynx dropped their regular season finale to the Los Angeles Sparks 68-51 on Thursday night.

Napheesa Collier and Kayla McBride both sat out of the game to rest.

No player scored in double figures for the Lynx. Diamond Miller and Alyssa Pili each tallied eight points. Natisha Heideman added seven points. Courtney Williams, Alanna Smith, Bridget Carleton, and Myisha Hines-Allen scored six points apiece.

Minnesota finished the regular season with a record of 30-10 and clinched the No. 2 seed in the WNBA playoffs.

The second seeded Lynx will now take on the No. 7 seeded Phoenix Mercury in the WNBA playoffs quarterfinals. The series will begin in Minnesota on Sunday with tip set for 4 p.m. and game coverage available on ESPN.
