Lynx blow WNBA Finals Game 3

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Lynx are facing elimination after collapsing down the stretch of their 80-77 loss to the New York Liberty in Game Three of the WNBA Finals at the Target Center.

The Lynx led by as many as 15 points in the losing effort, but they gave up a game-winning three to Sabrina Ionescu with a second left in regulation. Napheesa Collier paced Minnesota with 22 points, nine rebounds, and five steals. Kayla McBride chipped in 19 points while Bridget Carleton added 14 points. Courtney Williams tallied 12 points, eight assists, and five rebounds.

Game 4 will be on Friday night at the Target Center with tip scheduled for 7 p.m. and game coverage available on ESPN. New York leads the best-of-five series 2-1.

In other team news, Collier was named to the All-WNBA First Team yesterday.
