Force Split Weekend Home Series

The Fargo Force opened their home schedule with a pair of weekend games with the US National Team Development Program’s Under 18’s at Scheels Arena.

On Friday, the home opener for the Force featured a penalty filled contest.  The Force got the scoring going on a second period powerplay goal by Peter Cisar. US NTDP evened things up with a short handed goal in the third period, however, the Force would get that goal back on the powerplay when Merril Steenari scored. The Force would add another powerplay goal by Eero Butella and an empty net goal by Ty Mason en route to a 4-1 victory. Force goalie Alan Lendak would stop 25 of 26 shots securing his second victory of the young season. The Game’s 3 Stars were 1st Star Alan Lendak, 2nd Star Peter Cisar and 3rd Star Merril Steenari

Saturday night’s game started the same way when Fargo to an early 1-0 lead on Jordan Ronn’s second goal of the season. Things would take a different turn as the US NTDP would score the next four goals on their way to a 5-2 victory. In the third period, Masun Fleece would get his first goal of the season in the loss. Fargo did have two of the Game’s 3 Stars in 2nd Star Landon Pappas and 3rd Star Jordan Ronn.

Fargo hosts Sioux City at Scheels Arena on October 5th, 2024 with puck drop scheduled for 6:05 PM. Fargo’s next five games are all at Scheels Arena before they hit the road at toward the end of October.
