The Force trailed Waterloo 2-0 after the first period but scored the next three goals to defeat the Black Hawks 3-2 in overtime. In his first game for the Force, Luke Schelter scored a pair of goals, the biggest the game winner in the extra session. Gavin Kor also scored and Alan Lendak saved 31 of the 33 shots he faced between the pipes. Schelter was named the game’s 1st Star, Kor was the game’s 2nd Star and Drew Makie was the game’s 3rd Star.
