(San Antonio, TX) — For the first time in nearly two decades, Florida is back on top of the Men’s College Basketball world.
The team rallied from a 12-point deficit to take down Houston 65-63 in the National Championship from San Antonio. Will Richard netted 18 points for the Gators, who secured their first title since winning back-to-back championships in 2006 and 2007. Additionally, Walter Clayton Jr. who was named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player, dropped 11 points with seven assists and five rebounds. The Gators ended their championship run with a 36-4 record.

LJ Cryer scored 19 points for the Cougars, who finished the season 35-5 and still have never won a National Championship.
