MINNEAPOLIS – Minnesota President Dave St. Peter has stepped down from his role after 22 years.
The North Dakota native has spent decades with the team beginning as an intern in 1990.
“I’ve always felt it a privilege to work for this franchise and serve this fanbase. The sense of responsibility drives me every day and every way just as it does for countless coworkers across the Twins organization,” St. Peter wrote in a post on X.
St. Peter says he has had “succession discussions” with owners Jim and Joe Pohlad for two years.
The Twins say St. Peter will move to a strategic advisory role and President of Baseball Operations Derek Falvey will become President of Baseball and Business Operations. The club has named Jeremy Zoll General Manager. He served as Assistant General Manager and will fill Thad Levine’s spot after he resigned.
St. Peter grew up in Bismarck and graduated from University of North Dakota in 1989.
