Collier-less Lynx edge Mystics

Dominate first and fourth quarters led the Minnesota Lynx past the Washington Mystics 74-67 on Saturday night. Minnesota outscored Washington 44-24 between the first and four quarters combined. Washington held a 43-30 advantage in the middle two frames.

Kayla McBride dropped 17 points for the Lynx. Courtney Williams also scored 17 points along with tallying seven assists and six rebounds. Bridget Carleton chipped in 13 points and six rebounds.

Ariel Atkins and Shatori Walker-Kimbrough each tallied 15 points for the Mystics.

Minnesota rose to 15-6 on the year while Washington fell to 5-17 on the season. The Lynx will now hit the road to take on the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday night.

Minnesota was without star forward Napheesa Collier due to a foot injury she suffered against Connecticut this past Thursday.
