BISMARCK, ND — Researchers from UND’s Energy and Environmental Research Center say Enhanced Oil Recovery technology could dramatically extend the Bakken oil boom.
The technology involves injecting liquids or gases deep into the earth, which loosens up hard-to-reach oil. Experts say Enhanced Oil Recovery would likely produce one-billion barrels of oil over a 20-year period.
