Dania Beach, FL – Spirit Airlines is filing for bankruptcy.
The budget carrier announced Monday morning it’s reached a deal with bondholders for $300 million in financing to help it through bankruptcy, which it hopes to exit in early 2025.
The airline said service will continue normally and uninterrupted.
The company has been struggling with losses and a failed merger attempt with JetBlue.
