ST. PAUL, MN — West Nile Virus has been identified in mosquitoes in seven Minnesota counties.
Three human cases have been confirmed in St. Louis, Yellow Medicine, and Nicollet counties, and there are dozens of positive cases in the Twin Cities metro. Health officials warn that recent rain has created ideal breeding conditions for mosquitoes, heightening the risk of further spread.
You’re advised to eliminate standing water on your properties and take precautions to prevent mosquito bites. You can learn more about West Nile Virus by clicking here.
