Weather Service extends Minnesota flood warnings with more rain in the forecast

(St. Paul, MN) — The National Weather Service is extending flood warnings for several Minnesota communities due to additional rainfall expected this week.

The weather service announced last night that the warnings for parts of three rivers would be extended.

The rivers are the Minnesota, Mississippi and Cannon.

Flood warnings are also still in place for parts of the Crow, South Fork Crow, St. Croix and Redwood rivers.

A half-inch to an inch of rain is expected before the end of today.

More rain is in the forecast for later this week.

A flood warning for the Cottonwood River in Brown County has been canceled.
