(WAHPETON) – A Wahpeton man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on a pair of felony charges in Richland County District Court. Chad Olson, of Wahpeton, was charged last year after he hit and killed 20-year-old Bailey Bernstein in October 2023.
In court today, Olson changed his pleas to guilty, and was sentenced to 10 years in prison on each of the charges. The charges would be served concurrently, with five years suspended in each count. He will serve three years of supervised probation when released from jail.
Restitution was also ordered, in the amount of $10,000.
