MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota Twin Cities confirms one if its graduate students was detained by ICE over the weekend.
University officials are taking steps to make sure students are aware of support services made available for them.
Governor Tim Walz said he talked with Homeland Security about the situation but could not release any details about his conversation.
Senator Amy Klobuchar writes on social media the university wasn’t warned or given information leading to the student’s detainment.
