(WASHINGTON, DC) – Minnesota United States Senator Tina Smith says she has sent a letter to U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm in support of construction of a proposed five billion dollar sustainable aviation fuel production facility in Moorhead.
The facility would bring more than 600 new jobs and contribute more than $200 million annually to the Moorhead area. It would also produce nearly 200 million gallons of near-zero carbon aviation fuel annually beginning in 2030.
