(BISMARCK, ND) — Governor Armstrong thinks a state Senate committee is imposing “bad ideas” on a property tax overhaul bill.
A panel decided to lower the measure’s primary residence tax credit by 200 dollars, and requires homeowners to pay at least a quarter of their tax liability each year. Armstrong is holding out hope that all sides will come together.
Supporters of the amendments say it forces homeowners to have a stake in voting on future increases.
