Property tax measure likely headed to November ballot

(BISMARCK) – North Dakotans will likely have a chance to vote on whether the state constitution should change to prevent taxing property on assessed value this November.

North Dakota Secretary of State Michael Howe tells WDAY Radio that the group supporting the change submitted 1,107 packets with an estimated 40,759 signatures. The group needed 31,164 signatures.
