POLK COUNTY, MN — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says they are getting multiple reports of scam calls from residents in the area.
Authorities say the scammer claims to be a person from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, saying there is a warrant out for the person’s arrest. The Sheriff’s Office says they do not typically notify people of warrants, about pending payments, or ask for personal information over the phone.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the scam calls.
