North Dakota medical professionals deploy to North Carolina

(BISMARCK) – Six medical professionals from North Dakota are deploying to North Carolina to assist in the recovery from Hurricane Helene. North Carolina requested the assistance through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact, a resource that facilities the sharing of resources across state lines during emergencies or disasters. This year’s deployment marks the second time North Dakota nurses have deployed to North Carolina as a result of a hurricane, with the last coming in 2018 following Hurricane Florence.
