(BISMARCK, ND) – The North Dakota Legislature will convene this week.
‘The session is scheduled to begin Tuesday. Among the first day items is a series of addresses, including a 10 a.m. tribal-state relationship message, the State of the Judiciary at 11 a.m., and Governor Kelly Armstrong’s first State of the State address at 1 p.m. All of the addresses will be in the House Chamber at the North Dakota State Capitol.
Rep. Mike Lefor, of Dickinson, will serve as the House Majority Leader, with Rep. Glenn Bosch, of Bismarck, as Assistant House Majority Leader. Rep.Zachary Ista, of Grand Forks, will be the House Minority Leader, with Rep. Gretchen Dobervich, of Fargo, as the Assistant House Minority Leader. Rep. Robin Weisz, of Hurdsfield, is the Speaker of the House.
On the Senate side, Sen. David Hogue, of Minot, is the Senate Majority Leader, with Sen. Jerry Klein, of Fessenden, serving as the Assistant Senate Majority Leader. Sen. Kathy Hogan, of Fargo, is the Senate Minority Leader, while Fargo’s Josh Boschee serves as the Assistant Senate Minority Leader. Lieutenant Governor Michelle Strinden is the Senate President.
