(MINOT) – The annual Scandinavian cultural festival, known as the Norsk Høstfest, kicked off this morning. Among the festivities today are a lutefisk eating contest and the Western Plains Children’s Choir. Trace Adkins will perform in the Great Hall tomorrow at 7 p.m. Jay Leno headlines Friday’s events and Garrison Keillor will perform on Saturday. The opening ceremony starts at 8:30 a.m. each day, and the doors open at 9 a.m. daily. It’s held at the North Dakota State Fair Center on the state fairgrounds in Minot.
