No injuries in car-police vehicle crash in Crookston

(CROOKSTON, MINN) – No one was injured when a car collided with a police vehicle in Crookston.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says a 2016 Nissan Altima, driven by Grand Forks resident Bowende Somde Eudes Ju Sorgho, was southbound on U.S. Highway 75 when he collided with a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe patrol vehicle driven by Deputy Brittney Neil. Neil was driving west through the intersection of 3rd Avenue Southwest and U.S. Highway 75.

Both Neil and Sorgho were wearing their seatbelts. No airbags were deployed. The vehicles sustained damage but were able to be driven away from the scene.

The Crookston Police Department is investigating.
