New child care grants announced in Minnesota

(ST PAUL) – The state of Minnesota is announcing new grants to help expand child care in the state. The funding, which totals more than six million dollars, follows record funding in May. The funds are expected to create thousands of child care slots across Minnesota. Governor Tim Walz says having access to affordable and reliable child care helps parents work in the state. He says the investments made by the state help parents, employers, communities and the state’s economy.
