NDHP still investigating serious crash in Fargo

(FARGO, ND) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is still investigating a crash that left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

Captain Bryan Niewind says the Highway Patrol’s investigation is separate from the Fargo Police Department’s. He says the police department’s investigation focused on the fleeing case, while the Highway Patrol’s focus is on the crash investigation itself, which happened at the intersection of 52nd Avenue South and 31st Street South last week.

“They’re two different investigations that are going on,” Niewind told WDAY Radio’s Jay Thomas Show. “So once we’re done with our crash investigation, we’ll determine whether there is going to be any charges on either of the parties involved.”

The Fargo Police Department announced charges are submitting felony aggravated fleeing and felony reckless driving charges for consideration by the Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office for the motorcyclist.
