Moorhead man rescued from 250ft radio tower

EAGAN, MN — A Moorhead man is okay after being rescued from the top of a 250-foot-tall radio tower yesterday.

First responders were called to the tower in Eagan when the man was spotted far above the ground. A member of the Dakota County Special Operations Team climbed the tower and grabbed the unidentified man, allowing them both to be lowered to the ground on ropes.

Investigators say the 51-year-old had to be treated for exposure to the cold after he was rescued.
