MINOT, ND — The Senate is working on advancing nuclear modernization programs at Minot Air Force Base.
On Monday, Senator John Hoeven talked with members of Task Force 21 about the dual-nuclear missions at Minot Air Force Base and other air bases. The plans involve speeding up the schedule for deploying the Sentinel, identifying how to lower construction costs, and pushing for concurrent construction.
Hoeven is also talking with officials at the Department of Defense and the construction company to begin construction on each base at the same time, rather than sequentially.
