Minimum temperature law now active across Minnesota

(St. Paul, MN) — Minnesota has enacted a law requiring landlords to maintain a minimum apartment temperature.

The minimum is now 68 degrees from October 1st to April 30th. The law aims to protect tenants who do not have control over their heating.

It also includes provisions for renters struggling with heating bills, allowing them to establish payment plans with utility providers.
